Ingredients
Original recipe adapted from one found on LittleEarthlingBlog.com
- 1 lbs. sliced roast beef
- 2 onions
- 4 green peppers
- 1 loaf garlic bread
- 6 slices pepper jack cheese
- 2 TBSP vegetable oil
Instructions
- Wash and dry all your produce.
- Thinly slice the onion and peppers.
- In a cast-iron skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over your campfire.
- Once the oil is hot enough to pop when you sprinkle it with water, add the onions.
- Cook until softened and beginning to brown.
- Toss in the peppers and cook again until just soft.
- Set the garlic bread on the aluminum foil and layer both sides with roast beef.
- Add the onions and peppers and top with six slices of cheese.
- Place the top slice of garlic bread on the top and wrap in foil. You’ll want to double-layer the foil to prevent burning.
- Add the packets to the fire, setting them near the coals or on the grill grate. Cook for 10 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted.
- Serve hot!
